We are excited to announce that our Nutcracker will be on December 5th, 6th, & 7th, 2025.

The Dress rehearsal will be on November 30th, and a makeup on the evening of December 5th. ​

Where is the show?

Hernandez Middle School Theatre

Are we allowed to miss any rehearsals?

  • Yes, you are allowed to miss up to 2 rehearsals without needing to do a makeup lesson.

  • Please give you instructors advanced notice of dates you will miss.

Can my friends and family come and see me perform?

Can I work this around my schedule?

  • When you register for the audition you will have the opportunity to fill out a form and share with us answers to many questions, including what times over the weekends that you prefer. 

  • You will be expected to practice some on your own for anything you register for.

  • We will do our best to accommodate people's schedules.

Which cast performs when?

  • Cast 1 performs Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 1pm

  • Cast 2 performs Saturday at 6:30pm and Sunday at 1pm

  • All corps members perform in all shows, unless otherwise communicated with DAP staff

Is there a dressing room?

  • Yes, we will have many spaces for this show, minimally one for the men, and one for the ladies in this show.

  • We will also have a separate area for children to change.

When is the Dress Rehearsal?

  •  We will have a dress rehearsal at Hernandez Middle School on Sunday, November 30th, from 12-6pm, with a makeup dress rehearsal  Friday, December 5th from 4:30-6:00pm.

  • We will have an optional full cast run-through at DAP, on Monday, December 1st, from 6:30-9. (costumes aren't required)

What are the call times for the performers for the show?

  • Friday, December 5th at 5:30 pm (if not attending the makeup dress rehearsal at 4:30pm)

  • Saturday, December 6th at 11:30am and 5:00pm

  • Sunday December 7th at 11:30am

When are practices for the performance?

  • The group rehearsals start on September 19th and/or 20th and running for 10 weeks, with a break over Thanksgiving weekend. (Battle Scene 5 weeks, starting, October 26th)

  • If you opt to do a solo/duo/trio/small group those will be set between you and your teacher at a time when the studio is available and that works best for all of you.

  • All solos/duos/trio/small groups will have one free hour of in-studio time that may be divided into half hours.

Can we leave our belongings at the theatre overnight?

  • You will need to take all of your items with you after the dress rehearsal.

  • There will not be any other events in the theatre or building between our shows, so you may leave items like costumes, shoes, and makeup/hair supplies at your own risk and these rooms will be locked overnight.

  • Please do not leave any valuables between shows, as DAP will not have any surveillance of the space, especially when we aren't there.

  • Dance Arts Pflugerville and its staff are not responsible or liable for any items lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

Do I have to buy a costume?

  • Not necessarily... We will work together to put together appropriate costumes between you, your fellow castmates, and your instructor.

  • We plan to hold a community event so that you and your fellow performers can make some elements of your costume that will be affordable and crafty.

  • Please also feel free to ask your instructors and fellow dancers more in rehearsals.

When is the show?

  • Friday, December 5th at 7pm, Saturday, December 6th at 1:00 and 6:30pm, Sunday December 7th at 1:00pm

Will children be performing in this show?

  • Yes, Children will perform with their group classmates.

  • Parents will receive separate communications about the opportunity to perform in the show.

Where will we park for the show?

  • There will be a seperate entrance for the performers into the building on show days.
