We are excited to announce that our Nutcracker will be on December 6th & 7th, 2025.
The Dress rehearsal will be on the evening of December 5th.

Where is the show?

Are we allowed to miss any rehearsals?

Yes, you are allowed to miss up to 3 rehearsals without needing to do a makeup lesson.

Please give you instructors advanced notice of dates you will miss.
Can my friends and family come and see me perform?

Yes! We will be selling tickets to the show. We will announce when they can be purchased.

We are excited because this facility has an elevated stage, backstage, and wings!
Can I work this around my schedule?

When you register for the audition you will have the opportunity to fill out a form and share with us answers to many questions, including what times over the weekends that you prefer.

You will be expected to practice some on your own for anything you register for.

We will do our best to accommodate people's schedules.
When will the casting be announced?

Casting will be announced, ASAP, and within one week after the make-up audition, on 9/6.
Is there a dressing room?

Yes, we will have many spaces for this show, minimally one for the men, and one for the ladies in this show.

We will also have a separate area for children to change.
When is the Dress Rehearsal?

We will have a full cast run-through at DAP, on Monday, December 2nd, from 6:30-9.

We will also have a dress rehearsal at The Dance Spot on Friday, December 6th, from 6-9.
What are the call times for the performers for the show?

When are practices for the performance?

The group rehearsals times are not set yet, but will likely be on weekends, starting in September, and running for 10-12 weeks, with a break over Thanksgiving weekend.

If you opt to do a solo/duo/small group those will be set between you and your teacher at a time when the studio is available and that works best for all of you.

All solos/duos/small groups will have one free hour of in-studio time that may be divided into half hours.
Do I have to buy a costume?

Not necessarily... We will work together to put together appropriate costumes between you, your fellow castmates, and your instructor.

We plan to hold a community event so that you and your fellow performers can make some elements of your costume that will be affordable and crafty.

Please also feel free to ask your instructors and fellow dancers more in rehearsals.

Will children be performing in this show?

Yes, Children will perform with their group classmates.

Parents will receive separate communications about the opportunity to perform in the show.
What do auditions entail?

We will separate the auditions into three levels based on the levels of those registered and will email call times, 24 hours before the auditions.

We will do a short barre to warm up, and learn some level appropriate sections from variations from the Nutcracker. For each level, 1 teacher will be teaching, and 1-3 teachers will be watching as a panel to help with casting.

The auditions will be for all parts. You may also email us if there are specific parts you're interested in playing. We will do our best to accommodate preferences, but will use our best judgment when casting.
